State Licensing Process

Applications

In order to qualify for the State Licensure Exam, students must complete certain requirements and meet the criteria of the respective agencies.

The course is not required at the time of application submission. You may submit application for state exam approval prior to taking the pre-license education.

The Real Estate Sales Associate application fee is $83.75.
The Florida Brokers Application fee is $91.75

It will take 4-6 weeks on average for the state to process and approve your application.

You must submit your fingerprints electronically before your application can be approved.

Fingerprinting

An applicant must have a background check as part of the licensing process.

Appointments are scheduled with the state testing vendor, Pearson VUE. This can be done online, or by calling (877) 238-8232

State Exams

Prior to sitting for the state exam you must show proof of course completion from a Florida approved 63 Hour Pre-License education for sales associates and 72 Hour Pre-License for Brokers.

The course is good for two (2) years from the date of completion.

An expired course will not be accepted at the exam site and you will not be able to sit for your exam without proof of a valid course completion slip.

The State exam is a 100 Question Multiple- Choice Exam, needing a passing score of 75%.  State Exams are provided by Pearson Vue.
